Health and safety

Health, safety and environmental issues form an important part of the company ethos at MG Scaffolding

Considered equal to other business objectives, we take health and safety seriously. By working closely with clients from the earliest possible stage and throughout projects, we can identify and act on challenges early, taking a proactive approach to prevent or mitigate issues. In addition to endeavouring to surpass all legal requirements in health, safety and environmental standards, MG Scaffolding is a full member of the NASC and is accredited by CHAS Advanced, Smas Worksafe, Constructionline Gold Acclaim and CQMS Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP).

We understand the importance of continual professional development

We take clear action to train our staff from when they first begin work and throughout their careers. MG Scaffolding Ltd has an ongoing training initiative which ensures all our site-based operatives have undertaken the mandatory health and safety tests, CISRS training and assessments to NVQ level 3 and CPD refresher training where required. We also have a number of operatives who have undergone the IPAF, SSSTS, Confined Space and Asbestos Awareness training required for more specialised works.

We have previously been awarded contractor of the month for Torsion Construction, GMI Construction, ISG and were twice awarded contractor of the quarter for excellent health, safety and environmental performance by Kier Construction. We have also been awarded pride in the job awards on four sites for Bloor and Barratt Homes.
